We were in a situation that we liked the floorplan, but couldn't get bricks we liked. So I was thinking I was going to hate the facade. As it is, most of the houses in our estate so far, have gone for cream brick...we chose red, and all the renders are the bluey grey...we chose dune and jasper. After doing up a photoshop of the externals, I am growing to like it. I now wish we didn't have render to all the front as I want to show of the red bricks that I first hated! We have just sold a house that we designed and built 10 years ago - the facade is still as gorgeous now as it was then, but the floorplan no longer suits our needs...in hindsight we should have done the floorplan differently in the 1st place. I guess what I am trying to say is no matter how great your facade is, if your floorplan doesn't really suit your needs, the facade is useless. Hope this helps.
