You keep going back to the builder until the warranty is up...and even after then, because you documented this through continual letters and/or e-mails so you have long-term evidence. That is correct. Once you make a claim you are not limited by the warranty time frame it will continue until it is resolved even if it is beyond the warranty limit.The important thing is to get the ball rolling during the warranty time frame. So make an official claim to the builder get in writing or email.
