Gutters and Fascia are Colorbond Gully (flat roof) Current render is Dulux Beige. We plan to re-paint the render. I have bought soooo many sample pots and don’t think I like any. Has anyone worked with Colorbond Gully for gutters, fascia and down pipes? Usually a roof is a very dominant element of a house, so it is a major colour you have to match. However, it sounds like your flat roof is not very visible, so the colour presented by the gutters, fasciae and downpipes is really only an accent. Colorbond used to have a very good complementary colour palette available on their website, but I couldn’t find it there. However, I did find it elsewhere. It generally shows the Colorbond element as the major colour, so it might not work in your case. So if you have been looking a light colours, perhaps consider some dark ones as an alternative. If you have been considering only neutrals, try brights colours. In the palettes below, I've used Taubman's Timeless as a proxy for Colorbond Gully Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Lastly, download one of the programs where you can upload your photos and virtually paint. You'll be able to explore many options, no matter how wacky, and see the results without spending a cent. For example, Taubmans Paint Visualiser: https://www.taubmans.com.au/homeowners/paint-visualiser Re: Exterior house colour advice Colourbond Gully 4Feb 21, 2020 1:21 pm Thank you so much for your help. I have played with the visualizers but often find the example houses are more visually interesting than what I am working with. I am starting to think that after the extension there will be less 'wall' and so the colours won't be quite so unappealing Sorry its took me a while to get a photo of the house, turned out it to be quite difficult. The Left side of the house where the tank is will be the extension which will have large glass windows. The existing wooden decking is replaced and the steps moved. The new decking fence is strained wire with natural wooden top rail. All windows are being replaced with black aluminum frame. The front door moves to the new section and isn't front of house facing (left of the new steps). We are semi rural so I don't think a very pale colour will be wise as dirt and dust drifts to the house. The roof is "Gully", and the walls are white, but you could use an off-white. You could find a place to use "Ground Pepper" (from the palette above) as an accent, and paint your front door "Pumpkin Pie". I know living in a semi-rural location the tendency would be to avoid white, but we live in a fully rural location and we have white (Colorbond "Surfmist") everywhere, and I've found it’s often the dark colours around our place that show up the dirt more than the light ones. Besides, suburban locations are often much more dirty than rural ones because of all the car exhaust and tire dust. Like ⋅ 1 comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Much a do about nothing. You can see the fall heading to the actual drains. Stormwater ingress will be minimal and it's far better to have the top sitting flush rather… 12 6237 Yes i guess this is one of the main reason as i checked one post foundation 4 9986 Cheers. The painted render is a bit chalky to the touch. To prepare the surface for best adhesion, what would you recommend? Also, given that there must be some… 6 8497 |
