Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 06, 2020 11:44 am Hello all, First time post here. Just been though the whole process of buying a kit shed. I'm located in Hobart FYI. Not sure if any of you had the drama but down here i found that most shed sellers weren't interested in building the shed they sold. After talking to many of my mates about building a shed most of them came up with the same storey... If you get the kit its easier and cheaper to pay a pro to build it. Some of my mates told me their kits didn't come with enough screws etc. So I did a bit of research in our local area. NexGen Sheds (the company I ended up going with after a few recommendations) offered extras as a standard like the roof wire, insulation blanket and RHS framed Doors (Larnec this company i think) and wind rated roller doors. Not only did they sell the shed but they also built the shed, arranged slab and council ect. Overall I will recommend them. Ranbuild (the next most recommended shed company) These guys were pretty helpful, though I must add they did include the roof mesh and RHS framed doors but did not quote wind rated roller doors or insulation blanket as a standard, only after I received the quote from NexGen Sheds and asked Ranbuild about it did they add it. They were also capable of constructing the shed and both theirs and NexGen's quotes were pretty similar. Further to this I did contact SDC, who without going into to much detail could supply but not construct the shed and other than that I hardly got a response from any of the other shed sales companies here in Tasmania. Guess I just couldn't find a good general discussion online regarding the topic of which shed builders and sheds sales company's any one would recommend so I started my own. I'd be interested to hear of anyone else's experience's and or recommendations. Depends how much direct sun it gets. Is there any shading (eaves or trees)?
