Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Inclusion/studio vouchers - What would you use it for? 6Mar 25, 2020 5:41 pm Bobo5050 amilelka My number 1 inclusion would be tiling up to the ceiling. Number 2 would be internal wall painting if it's not already included. I don't like the look of 40mm benchtops at all, the proportions are too similar to cheap laminate bench. I prefer 12-20mm for a slimline look or 60-90mm for a chunkier look. Upgraded carpets are a waste of money. Spend it on structural elements that can't be easily added or changed later on. Great advice and i tend to agree with everything you've said. There is a basic inclusion for all flooring so might just go with the standard carpets and upgrade down the track if i want something a bit more plush. Estimate came in at like 6k based on the next level up for carpets which i was a bit caught of guard by. I have opted for laminate floor boards and the sales rep has recommend upgrading these to the next level, mainly on the basis that the included boards are not water proof and i have pets. Do you think this is worth while or falls under the same priority as carpets? I would suggest, especially now , ask around a few stores, email plans and get some quotes, then ask your builder for a price to delete it and do it yourself, only issue with floorboards is they normally have to put extra timber trim around the floor area I would suggest you simply go and talk to council about your proposal, most councils are getting onboard with ancillary dwellings.
