Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 04, 2019 9:47 pm Hi all, can I please have some advice as I got a 2100mm head height on sliding door and windows on front facade and also a slide door in dinning area opening to alfresco , and rest of the house windows and doors are 2340mm. I got a ceiling height of 3.3m so I just realised that it may look odd to have different height in these areas compare to rest of the house. I want To make sure changing the height on front windows and door will. Not impact on front facade. I am a bit confused if I should leave the front as it is and change the dinning room only or I should make them all same height. Photos attached for your reference. The group of 3 windows/ sliding door at the front work together, start from the ground up and have a lower roofline/ eaves than the other windows at the front of the house, which start from a sill about a metre off the ground. If you made them 2340mm high, they would encroach on your roofline/ eaves. Having that difference between those 3 windows/ sliding door and the other windows adds contrast, and brings that front porch into focus. As for your rear elevation, I'd probably increase the height of your alfresco doors to match. I would however also question why a lot of the windows seem to start from a different sill height. Is that intentional?
