I am currently having a pool built and I am planning on putting up the fence myself.
I would like to use hardwood posts with t-stirrups. To keep the price down I want to do the cutting myself. What is the best way to cut the slot for the stirrup?

What are the pros and cons of having steel posts vs plain treated pine posts for capped and lapped fencing? Is there a difference in price between the two options?
