My partner and I have been working on a project for a while and it looks like we are going to get the funding to go-ahead, but we are still a bit confused with the building process. We will involve a builder to help us, still we are that kind of people that love to understand what is going on knowledge doesn´t hurt!
We are going to install a structure (25x15m) in a few locations in Victoria. The structure has already been certified by our local engineer, so now we are trying to draw a project line to understand each stage of the project.
Our understanding:
Is this the way it works?
And from this, we have a couple of questions:
- The structure has been certified by our structural engineer. Can the building surveyor ask our engineer to change something even when all the calculations have been made and certified?
- As we are looking to install these structures in a few different locations, would it be smarter to hire a private surveyor so he/she knows what we are talking about and we can speed up the process of requesting the building permit?
We hope it all makes sense! And if it doesn't, we hope you can help us to make sense of it ehhehe
Thanks!
