I’m currently installing yellow tongue noggins for a garage door based on nog maps from my garage door supplier.
The required dimensions of the noggins obviously do not line up neatly between the joists. Do I need the yellow tongue to span fully from joist to joist (i.e. does it need to span across three joists), or can I do it so it only spans across two joists and has an overhang on one end?
