There should only be one set of approved working drawings that have been signed off and form the basis for all construction.

The architect plans went to the builders to tender on.
The cabinet makers drawings are different to those the builders tendered on and the main change is the width of the kitchen and island bench somehow has ended up nearly 30cm narrower than what we were lead to believe we were getting. All 3d modelling, all tender documents and other quotes were for a 3600 kitchen, we ended up with 3300.
As already said it makes the kitchen look boxey but also ruins the integrity of the spine of the house the architect had aimed for.
We signed off on the architects drawings and the cabinet makers drawings with the architect present
