Bigger issue is the fact it’s in the entry to the home, I detest toilets positioned in entry’s and/or visible from living areas. Gross. I’d lose the linen cudboard, sacrifice some butler pantry, push the vanity into the laundry slightly, reposition the door to the left end, kill 2 birds with one stone.
The builder tells it's too late to restructure the position of the rooms as frams, plumbing, drain already done, roof tiles fitted already. Just next week he plan to gybrock so it was stopped for thinking phase. As builder is thinking of asking money but it's not our mistake he agreed to build now he disagree with door.
Not sure without any sense how he decide his workman to proceed at this point.
If he won’t do the sliding door because it’s money, I’d just pay to get it done. This should have been picked up before any sign of construction started. Just put it down to inexperience on your behalf and incompetence on the builders behalf. End of day you have to live there, better off to pay for a sliding door and be happy than an outward opening one and be cheesed off every time it’s opened (although at least with an outward opening one it would always be closed unless it was in actual use).
