We are building a single story brick veneer home in Sydney. The brickies recently finished laying the bricks and did the acid wash last week. Today when I went over to inspect the finished product, there are holes here and there in between the bricks, which looks as if some of the mortar has been washed out and also noted a couple of horizontal hairline cracks. Is this normal after the acid wash stage? When I stick my hand through the holes it’s not sandy and solid. Is this normal and will this be rectified before we do handover? Not sure if this is something I need to raise with the builder now (they are up to plastering stage now) or this is something they will inspect and touch up before they hand over our keys? Can’t see any specific clause in the contract. Thanks, any input would be appreciated. Yes it's normal after acid wash and usually good buidlers will patch them up. And it's not sandy usually it's good. |
