Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 17, 2020 9:31 pm Hello! We are debating whether to bag or render our single-level 1980s brown brick home. For context, we are near the beach and are going for a tropical resort-style look. The home features natural finishes including timber floors, while outdoors is Merbau fencing and hopefully, in time, a pool and lush gardens. We thought bagging would add some charm (homes in this neighborhood are all different with a lot of character, however there are a few modern homes also). We have repainted the roof dark charcoal and the gutters/eaves are grey with a hint of beige. Any thoughts? Re: Render or bagging? 2Jul 21, 2020 7:55 am Bagging if done properly can look just sort of OK in my opinion but I'd much prefer render. I've seen too many homes that were bagged that looked really ordinary because of it. They always look they were done by a kid on work experience. Steel troweled render that's painted is also a lot easier to clean whereas the rougher surface of bagging takes a lot more work. Stewie Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply again.
