Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Sep 07, 2019 11:22 pm We are about to renovate a 30 year old house on concrete stumps. Previous owner never really did much with the floor other then applying some carpet here and there. The current underfloor is particleboard or chipboard if you will. We will be renting so we decided to remove all the nasty carpet and install laminate throughout dry areas. Personally I feel like applying a 4mm plywood throughout. I think the particle board is 19mm but it is bloody 30years old. Seems to me like a cheap way of reinforcing the floor. Won't be structural plywood because I cannot raise the floor that much. I am not a builder so please bear with me if this idea is plain stupid. Thanks in advance for your opinions. 1 10131 Are they stumps or screw piles ? How much fill is there, is the site a class "P" ?
