Originally our plan had the ensuite entry via the bedroom but what concerned me was that door would be right next to the bed head area. Anyhow we chopped/changed on this design, but we think the pro's outweigh the con's for us. It gives more separation of the ensuite from the bedroom, also allows you to shower then dress in the robe more easily without disturbing someone else in the bedroom etc. We decided to not 'door off' the WIR itself as we didn't think we would honestly close it all that often anyhow. To assist with reducing condensation into WIR area, we made sure the ensuite door was only standard height (2040mm) and also we have a decent extraction fan and will make sure we leave it on for a while after showering. The size I think you have @2.4m width should be fine, as ours seems fine also at slightly less width than this.
