I had the appointment a while ago.... and I want to change some things... nothing major.... just the placement of some features. If you did change.... did you get charged? If so how much? Thanks, Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: M3tricon customers.... changing tiles? 2Sep 22, 2008 1:38 pm Jo, can you not just organise that with the tiler when he gets to your job? I know we get a mtg with the tiler to go over what we want where....could be different for the Big M, tho..?!?
Do you actually need to change the quantity of particular tiles with the changes that you want to make? Solidarity, not solidity.......The Lexicon of Life Re: M3tricon customers.... changing tiles? 3Sep 22, 2008 2:19 pm I think quantities may have to change.....
I haven't been very happy with the whole tile experience actually... range and everything is great.... but there is a real breakdown in communication between Beaumonts and M3tricon concerning the powder room of all things ... I selected tiles at the start of July and still haven't signed off on them.... because the paperwork still isn't right.... Maybe I should get off my fat ar*e and go to Beaumonts and get what I want sorted.... I'll go tomorrow. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. As far as I can remember, Beaumont charges $250 if you decide to change your tiles. But they would only allow it if M allows it first. That's why before we went for our tile selection, we went there multiple times to ensure that we don't change our minds . But you know women... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Re: M3tricon customers.... changing tiles? 5Sep 22, 2008 8:49 pm Yeah VJ I know what you mean..... I went heaps of times......
But on the day... they had a new tile that we hadn't seen before........ and it wasn't on their system, and we couldn't get a price, and they had the wrong powder room layout ...... and we still haven't signed off on our original selections because we still haven't gotten the correct selection sheet..... With that in mind....... I'm hoping we'll get away with it. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: M3tricon customers.... changing tiles? 6Sep 22, 2008 8:55 pm oh, if that's the case, then I reckon you can get away with it.
you haven't signed anything with them yet... yeepeee... go and change your tiles! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Re: M3tricon customers.... changing tiles? 7Sep 22, 2008 9:27 pm Hi Joles
You should be fine, we were told by Beaumont that once you had signed the selection that any changes you wanted after that would be charged for. Prior to that you could make changes. We did have a different builder but it's probably the same for everyone using Beaumont. Besides if you haven't signed it you haven't agreed to it yet Hope it works in your favour. Re: M3tricon customers.... changing tiles? 8Sep 22, 2008 9:37 pm Hi.. We are with Newstart Homes... But... We did our selection with Beaumont's a few weeks ago.. I called them on Friday, and they said they allow ONE reselection without charge.. so we changed some of ours on Friday (it was then faxed off to our builder)... then.. we realised the tile we chose for the shower floor was too slippery, so we went back on Sunday and made changes to the ensuite shower floor... and the kitchen splashback... and the main bathroom feature tile... Both our builder and Beaumonts said there will be no charge for all of this...
YAYYY!!! So it pays to call them and ask.. -Sha How much are you ahead in payments compared to where the build is at? Have you fully drawn down the loan? 5 11916 Hi All, I'm new here!
