We have a circa 1920 home with high ceilings and lovely pressed metal ceilings and cornice. We have chosen to replace old buckling horsehair plaster in our kitchen reno. Wanting to replaster but don't want the heartache of having to remove all metal cornice. Is there a way this can be avoided? If I have to remove cornice is there a technique which will avoid damage? Would appreciate any ideas forthcoming...………….Thanks Peter I would probably render it and then paint it as per your other advice, or gyrpock over the top. 1 924 traditional gable roof facade - Have you did the dark and light gray color combination in facade with gray stone in facade… 0 1823 How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents?
