We are currently building an extension on our home and are just wondering if anyone knows what we should expect to pay for: 1. re-wiring the existing part of the house (not sure yet if it is necessary but want to budget for it). This is 4 rooms. 2. replacing the meter box 3. are these prices reasonable ? This is what the electrician has quoted for installation only - parts / fittings supplied by owner (all GST inclusive): GPO $77 data $99 telephone $77 downlight $88 exterior floodlight (light supplied by electrician) $110 Thanks. There are a lot of if buts and maybes with the questions you are asking What state are you in? What age is your house? Are you moving the meterbox? Lost and lots of questions i could ask. I can't give you costs as i haven't had to employ a sparky. Rewirirng will depend on alot, age of old wiring, how many more gpos and lights you will be putting in. are the existing gpos singles and will you be changing them to doubles? Are you changing existing lights? Do you have RCD or have you got fuses? Lots of questions The only advice i can give is to make a list of everything you want done, and get some sparkies in to give you quotes. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13103 Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering.
