Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 01, 2019 9:48 pm Hi everyone, I’m just wondering if anyone has built with Nuvo Homes in the last 12 to 18mths & what their experience was with them? I have built with them & I didn’t have a very good experience. I have meet 2 other families that have gone through the same problems as we have had. So I’m just reaching out to find anyone else. Re: Building with Nuvo Homes 2Jun 19, 2019 7:24 pm We finished our build the end of last year so we have been living in the house for 6-8mths we built at Springfield Lakes. We also had dent on the roof, our solar panels were being installed before hand over & they saw the dents & stop the job & notified us immediately because they didn’t want to be blamed for the dents. When we talked to the supervisor he said the dents are in the “tolerance level” which means. Something can be 100% right or something can happen & the builders have a standard of tolerance before they need to do something about it. for example if the slab cracks there is a allowance of .3mm before the builder needs to do anything about it. Once the crack is bigger the .3mm then they have to fix it. On the QBCC website there is a PDF you can download called STANDARD AND TOLERANCES GUIDE. Please private message me & I am more then happy to example everything that happened & how I maybe able to help Re: Building with Nuvo Homes 3Jun 19, 2019 7:27 pm Soph2 We finished our build the end of last year so we have been living in the house for 6-8mths we built at Springfield Lakes. Re: Building with Nuvo Homes 9Jun 24, 2019 1:25 pm Unfortunately if you didn’t see the piers getting poured on a single level block it’s near impossible to see them. You do get a structural certificate after the roof & frame go up. You can always ask the builder for proof that they did the piers?? Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 77466 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
