Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 31, 2019 9:17 pm Hi, I am new to homeone. I am looking for property around truganina/tarneit area but there are few questions on my mind, i had been to some open houses but some things check my list and some of them don't. So I wanted ask, how good is the idea to buy a land and build a home? Please note this is going to be my first home and I need to know how difficult is the land title process and how much is waiting period. Any pros and cons on buying established property which is more than 10 years old. Is it worth it ? Re: Build a home or Buy established house 2Jun 01, 2019 6:11 am One of the first things to do is weigh up the costs. You buy old you move straight in or rent a while longer and get it updated. New build takes anywhere between 12 to 18 months depending on certification requirements from the time u sign the contract. That of course depends also on what type of weather you get during the build. At least with a 10 yr old you can see all the flaws. And the landscaping is already done. You can buy some good homes that families have out grown fairly reasonable. Hope this gives you somewhere to start. Looking at some of the designs on websites, they are all selling very similar products. I get that you want something stylish. It's worth looking for search terms like SaveH2O… 2 4601 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 8 2249 |
