I am new to homeone. I am looking for property around truganina/tarneit area but there are few questions on my mind, i had been to some open houses but some things check my list and some of them don't. So I wanted ask, how good is the idea to buy a land and build a home?
Please note this is going to be my first home and I need to know how difficult is the land title process and how much is waiting period.
Any pros and cons on buying established property which is more than 10 years old. Is it worth it ?

One of the first things to do is weigh up the costs. You buy old you move straight in or rent a while longer and get it updated. New build takes anywhere between 12 to 18 months depending on certification requirements from the time u sign the contract. That of course depends also on what type of weather you get during the build. At least with a 10 yr old you can see all the flaws. And the landscaping is already done. You can buy some good homes that families have out grown fairly reasonable.
Hope this gives you somewhere to start.

It’s a good sign if Metricon are confident enough to show your house to others. The workmanship on my house was so poor they never would have done this!
