Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 12, 2019 8:16 pm Hi, we are working and living on a dairy farm with family. And today we finally got to see the house we are moving into from our very small granny flat. Our bright and bushy tails soon feel when we seen how old and dated It was. I want some suggestions on home improvement a beginner can do to make this better on a budget. I'm already in the process of painting, there are 3 fireplaces throughout this smaller home and only one works weve been told. One is boarded up and others we have to test how good they are. Bedrooms are odd. Old lightswitches and some of the roof and flooring is so wonky. Walls are incredibly tall so painting will be soo much fun.. lights are all bright and working by ugly as. As I said I live on a farm so some power tools are at my disposal. I'll go with an old unique vintage I think. In the bathroom/toilet areas I feels Theres a lot of wasted space. Any diys would be so much help! Please anyone help me. I'm thinking about getting a local handyman to help as I feel if I got an business they would give me bad news and say wed need to replace wiring or walls or plumbing which is scary to us. This will be our home for a long while so we want to make it comfortable and dont mind spending some money we just dont have a lot in the savings at the moment after buying appliances.
