I am about to build a storage shed on a rural property of around 5 acres,
There is a dwelling on the property. It is surrounded by farmland with the nearest
other house around 2km away. The shed is 10mx6m. I have had to apply for a planning permit and
do all the paperwork,as well as the drawings for the building permit.
So I am a licenced builder/carpenter by trade,so I can dig the stump holes, have the depth inspected,I can do
the sub floor and frame and have it inspected.I can clad it with corrugated iron and put barn doors on it,I can buy the iron for
the roof, but I am NOT allowed to screw it on. For gods sake,it doesn't even have to have spouting on it.
If I don't get a plumber to screw the roof on, and supply a compliance certificate, I wont get a completion certificate.
Stupid or not??
