We haven't signed our contract yet and we still have a few changes to make. I am just frustrated as we've been told that we can no longer make any changes to colours as they have already been submitted to the Developer for approval. Do builders normally inform prior to submission to the Developer and can you request with the Builder to amend the plan and colours and then resubmit to the Developer?

You can request to redesign the plans and re-apply for the approval, but they'll most likely charge you a drafting fee.
Thanks. There is a variation fee of $1k for any changes which we are okay to pay but was told that colours can't be amended as it has already been submitted to the Developer.
Good to hear that it's possible to re-apply for approval. I thought that once it has been submitted, it's already too late. It's only been a week or two since they have submitted it to the developer.
