Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 09, 2019 8:33 am I have an 80's built 2 storey home with a concrete slab upper floor. The slab is supported by metal beams running all the way from one side of the house to the other. I want to remove an internal single brick wall that I don't think is weight bearing; but want to be sure. No-one seems to be sure and I can't find anything online. Re: Concrete upper floor 4Oct 09, 2019 1:01 pm I've removed some of the cornice and can see at the top of the brick wall where a half-brick has been laid to meet the steel beams. So to me it looks like the internal brick wall was added after the upper floor was constructed and shouldn't be a supporting wall.
