Just wondering if anyone here has bought a block of land at Oakdale in the Braycharlo estate?
Was meant to be registered at the start of last year?

How did you find the slope of the land, I am finding it hard to read the contour plan. I don't want to be surprised with so much extra in site costs! Thanks Re: Braycharlo Estate Oakdale 4Aug 02, 2020 9:21 pm KarinaF JasmanC We just put a deposit down last month and I was told Feb 2020 Hi JasmanC , Have you been able to start building yet? Hey, We submitted CDC but got rejected. So annoying. Now it has to go through DA which will take longer. I feel like either builder is buying time. So annoying. Re: Braycharlo Estate Oakdale 7Aug 03, 2020 9:05 am Tyra Why was it rejected ? Where they being difficult for no reason ? Well I’m not too sure. The builder is calling me back today. So I can find out exactly what is going on. Has nothing to do with braycharlo just builder issue now. But I’m devastated we waited 3 years for it to register and now got this far to now have to wait another 10 weeks just for paperwork to process. Have you bought in the estate? Hi , We are building with Hoot homes and I also found out last week that CDC is not allowed Our planning certificate does not permit it, which means everyone in the estate has to go through council , I'm waiting for our plans to be submitted this week *fingers crossed* Re: Braycharlo Estate Oakdale 9Aug 03, 2020 11:43 am KarinaF JasmanC We just put a deposit down last month and I was told Feb 2020 Hi JasmanC , Have you been able to start building yet? Thanks Hi Karina, Yes we required drop edge beams at the back corner of our lot which was an addition cost, most build will include cut/fill up to a metre, ours was 1.2m so additional costs, So the land looks relatively flat I thought but turns out its quite a drop down to the eastern side of our lot Re: Braycharlo Estate Oakdale 10Aug 03, 2020 1:54 pm JasmanC mmckie Tyra Why was it rejected ? A shame we couldn’t find this out sooner. We are pushing for our builders to submit paperwork today. And hopefully can sweet talk council to make the process go a bit quicker. I would really love to have some start to the build by the end of the year. I agree, I estimate our build start will probably be October, I went on the council DA tracker and 9 DA's have already been lodged 2 are already approved so I would say we will see some houses going up this month |
