Hi, I'm very new to the whole house reno thing. I have a rather large rumpus room upstairs that I don't use for much, and I am considering building a storage room at the end of it. I don't believe there is any wiring or plumbing of concern. Could I hire a carpenter to knock a frame up with a door and plaster it, or would I have to get some building permit done (I'm in VIC)? I"m mostly concerned about insurance/warranty (about to expire). ?
Thanks in advance!

We tried training our dogs not to enter the kitchen. It worked but only a few times. That's when we decided to use child gates. Worked like a charm for us ever since.
