I watched a few videos before commencing which state to sand the varnish back to the original wood, but my DH is saying I am wasting time sanding all the way back and it just needs a light sand. Can anyone give me some pointers here? I dont want to skimp out and ruin my door 😓😓 Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 2693 The lead would only be in the brass due to contamination during recycling so trace amounts, looking through it won’t expose you to lead.
