Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 10, 2019 10:23 am Hi everyone, I am new to the home building process as I am a first home buyer, I chose to build with Champion homes in September 2017. Got their home and land package in oran park, advised land will be registered in June 2018 however got delayed to end of August. Once land was registered I notify the builder immediately for the next step. They advised construction plans will be submitted through CDC. So they submitted on 11th of October 2018 and I haven't heard anything back from them even until now. Just want to know anyone building with champion or building in Oran Park, how long is the process for CDC approval? My contract states by April this year if the construction has not been commence, extra costs will incur hence i am pretty worried. The sales consultant at Champion Home was a great guy, however the CSR i got after was just meh, she didn't update me on anything and i had to keep following up with her. She even said "Champion homes have too many homes to build so I cannot keep track of it all'. Honestly she doesn't even remember me and my lot number and have to ask for it everytime I email her an enquiry even though the subject line states my lot number and street name and location. Re: Oran Park Neville St Champion Homes 2Jan 10, 2019 10:35 am CDC normally takes two weeks. I’m sure they’ll update when they’re back from holidays. They could still be progressing things on there end, even though they haven’t advised you. It may be worth posting in the ‘building a new home’ section of home one. There’s more people over the there building new homes. Re: Oran Park Neville St Champion Homes 3Jan 10, 2019 10:49 am gogo65 CDC normally takes two weeks. Hi Gogo Thanks for the info, you mention two weeks? did you meant two months? if it's two months then my case is taking longer than it should have. Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74702 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
