We are planning KDNR @ inner-east Melbourne and was hoping to hear your experience with either of these 3 builders which we have narrowed down based on the layout and affordability. UE (Larne 39), PD (Madison 40), Henley (Aegean 38). How was the quality and timeframe to complete build? Thanks in advance ! Re: KDNR Urban Edge/PD/Henley? Which is 'better'? 2Jul 25, 2019 12:43 pm Just beware of urban edge which is owned by burbank Group I'd stay away from that one or Burbank they are not to be trusted. If you want a good home, well at the end of the day you get for what you pay for so beware any of the Burbank group homes defects are built into your home. The also have there own plumbing and Electrical company as I found out by pure accident none of the compliance Certificates were never lodged, what they give you at hand over is not what has been lodged. If they have not been lodged chances are you are not insured as I found out. Please beaware Re: KDNR Urban Edge/PD/Henley? Had some minor issues along the way (as expected) but in general they were easy to deal with and seemed to want to do the tight thing and make me happy . Re: KDNR Urban Edge/PD/Henley? Had some minor issues along the way (as expected) but in general they were easy to deal with and seemed to want to do the tight thing and make me happy . The issue is not the building part as they try very hard to keep happy and paying the stage payment the problem 12 months 2 years down the track when your house is settling, if it doesn't settle in 12 months then you know there are issues, just recently i found a vcat hearing ACCC v EDGE home and 8home group which are under the burbank group of companies, they applied to the accc to have them exempt from the building surveyor they want to have in house building surveyor they say it keeps cost down and the building surveyor understand their disigns they have and can speed the prosses of the build time, what a hog wash they don't want anyone finding out what they actually do on site the crap they do, i have not used them but ive built with burbank and still fighting them after 4 years at vcat they will do what ever it takes to get your business once locked inn your done. If i can work out how to post that vcat part to be exempted from having there own in house building surveyor ill posted on here just becarefull its your biggest investment you make stay away from waffle pod slabs if drainage around your home is not installed by the builder you will be in trouble down the track. As i found out the hard way. Good luck. brokers will also be in a position to get you a better rate than the advertised rate most times. 6 6107 I think the proposal that a supply and demand curve are a natural law are well exaggerated. Wages never seem to follow this curve, and also prices for supply are sticky… 18 20169 Hi All, We are building in Maitland and considering between Vision Homes or New Edge Homes (part of Masterton).
