Hi Perth, yeah unfortunately we've been cught up in this mess check out my thread here https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.p ... sc&start=0 Re: Brookland Greens 3Sep 13, 2008 1:42 pm I'm so sorry, martyme I can't imagine how angry you must feel, and to think that hubby and I came pretty close to looking at buying in there too. In fact, we used to visit BG often as one of the displays there was the house we wanted.
I know someone else who has just moved in only a few weeks earlier as well Building our dream H3nl3y home together House: Cott3sloe Modifications: Extended ensuite, grand dining, grand rumpus, Bedroom 4 option, two plus garage Frame done, roof tiles are on, brickes start this week! Re: Brookland Greens 5Sep 14, 2008 12:28 am Disgraceful is what it is!
I have a friend who is on the edge and they went to her house last week and put in a monitor and sealed the meter box for fear of explosions.. With 2 young sons ... hmmm WTF? Compensation I think is the order of the day here...Or move ... if you can afford the loss! Re: Brookland Greens 6Sep 14, 2008 5:12 pm Apparently they are saying prices are dropping very quickly... Although it would be silly to sell as you would lose a lot of money and in 6 months time when they fix it will go back up again..
You will have money hungry investors buying up land now while it is cheap!! Re: Brookland Greens 7Sep 14, 2008 9:03 pm I'd say land sales should be frozen.
This is yet another example of a development getting refused by both Council and the EPA and then the developer going to VCAT and getting an approval. The courts approved the development, not the Council and the EPA. |
