Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Sep 12, 2008 9:52 pm Hi everyone,
I am thinking of having my caesarstone kitchen benchtop 20mm with waterfall edges. Does anyone have a picture? As i am not sure how it will look, all benchtops i have seen with waterfall edges were 40mm... Thanks in advance [i]We built in Point Cook and are loving our new house. Re: Anyone has a picture - kitchen benchtop 20mm waterfall edge? 2Sep 12, 2008 9:54 pm Try logging on to the M website and going to the Stanton pics. The kitchen there is 20mm with waterfall inside the kitchen... it is thicker on the external of the island ( the family room side).. but there should be a pic of the island on the kitchen side or the rear cooker bench.
I'm having 20mm with waterfalls also! I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. We've already signed the PC but not the FC (as we are waiting for expected land settlement date). I wonder how much it will cost to add the waterfall edges now or is it too late? ... It looks good, and won't be changing my mind of this one.... I think, no am sure, I think Re: Anyone has a picture - kitchen benchtop 20mm waterfall edge? 6Sep 14, 2008 9:20 am We were charged around $1900 for 2 waterfall edges in 20mm but our outside profile (facing the family room) has to be 40mm as our overhang is too big to be 20mm.
I'm trying to remember but you're building the Mercer??? Is that right? If so that kitchen is pretty much the same as ours (Grandview) so you will probably need 40mm outside profile as well. Just be aware that offering 20mm with waterfall sides is only a new thing for M (they used to only do 40mm) so you may initially get told no. Just keep pushing and mention the Stanton display. Technically you're not supposed to change anything after PC, but you're bound to have a couple of mistakes at FC, use that to your advantage. Your change isn't structural, it's an addition so you'll be fine I think. We added doors and extra walling to a room at FC because they had made a mistake wtith the plans... We're building the Zenith, now called Windarra. Does the $1900 include the 40mm for the outside profile? Not sure if we can afford it yet as we are having lots of other extras, so i might have to live without this one We are waiting for our electrical appointment and this might bring the costs up again so no room for any more extras... Lets hope i can fit this in somehow [i]We built in Point Cook and are loving our new house. Yeah I'm pretty sure it did include the outside 40mm profile... will double check. Electrical is a bit of a killer... we spent a fair bit there... Oooohhh i am sooo NOT looking forward to the electricals, there are so many things on my list that i wish i could add but because we haven't done our electricals, i have to wait to see if i can fit them in. I am sure i won't be able to Wouldn't it be nice to have an unlimited budget? [i]We built in Point Cook and are loving our new house. Hi Courtney The mitred edges are glued up with epoxy so those little holes and gaps are areas that weren't filled correctly.
