Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 11, 2018 12:48 am I just bought a mirror: https://m.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/art/90374504/ So it’s 165cm long and 74cm high. I am planning to install it long ways/horizontal. There are two fitting/mounting holes which would be used for hanging on a screw head. If the mirror is 12kg, does each of the mounting hardware need to be rated for 6kg. Would toggle bolts work best on a gyprock wall? I haven’t checked yet but I am sure the screws aren’t going to line up with existing studs in the wall. Thought about screwing some timber on the wall then screw the Mirror onto that but I am not sure why type and how big. Thanks Re: Mirror installation 2Dec 11, 2018 9:15 pm Just use wall mates.
