We are currently building and have had our front door delivered to site Monday.
Tuesday it rained a bit. The door wasnt undercover.
Yesterday on site, we noticed what seems to be mould growth on the door.
The manufacturers website stated the door should be stored flat in a dry area.
Do we demand a replacement from the builder given tgey didnt store it correctly - I cant believe how quickly the mould has developed in just a couple of days. TIA

A long long time ago - in our very first build - they put the wrong door in PLUS it was warped. We argued and they carried on and we finally got them admitting it was their fault. BUT - they couldn't provide us with the original door we'd picked and paid for - it wasn't made anymore and hadn't been for years !!!.
We went a tad overboard and wrote letters to the paper, local MP and the General Manager of the company. The GM came out and actually met with us - they were a big company - and said he'd look into it. Suddenly the "team" was back - with the door we'd originally selected - and did it all in an instant. Even got a visit from the team boss to see we were happy.
All we got from inquiries about the "new" door was non-committal answers. No-one knew how or where the door came from. Or why we'd been told it no longer was made.
It is a long time ago now, but I still remember it all. How anyone could blame the customer for a warped door is hard to imagine - but the untruths told about it from then on were just unacceptable.
