Just looking for some advice regarding the payment of a deposit to a builder that took forever to supply a fixed contract price, reneges on a promotion and then ups the price by 35k from what was discussed prior to the first deposit.
They then pushed out the start time from what was always discussed and increased the build time.
Of course they’re saying the contract was signed but plenty of promises have been broken on their part.
I supplied my own floor plan and facade as I have designed and built numerous homes in the past and now they refuse to give me anything but a soil test and less than $850 from $5k. The reason i can’t get my plans is what they deem to be a copyright issue as I’ve gone to another builder. They’re my plans and I have numerous emails confirming that. I can’t ascertain whether qbcc or QCAT will be my best course of action. I’m based on the Sunshine Coast.
