Need some help with determining if these drains are built to spec. Knock-down rebuild with one of the big builders.
1. The grey stuff is powdery and some of it comes off onto my hands when I touch it. It's definitely not silicone. If you can see, at the bottom there's lots of debris and the blue line shows the hole.
2. This one is very similar except I can't remove the cover because the builder put grout in the drain cover (Is this something I can claim?). Also, it has a large gap between the pipe and the opening
