pipe running 2 feet from the property boundary has been damaged. this quite probably occurred during their siteworks as there was a temporary fencing over this area for the duration of their build and i remember a really big patch of weeds growing in this spot.
I also remember someone asking me as i was leaving for work one morning back in the early days if he could come onto my land iwhile he was doing siteworks I asnwered yes and advised him their is a stormwater pipe 2 feet from the boundary - he advised no problem as he only needs an extra foot to work in. i looked that night but couldn't see any issues and my stormwater was still flowing - still flows now but losing some of it to the front yard.
Pipe runs from the front of my house at the edge of my concrete down to the sidewalk. damaged section is about a meter from the sidewalk.
Am i Correct in assuming the neighbors builder is liable for the repairs and verifying the rest of the pipe in that 3 meter run is undamaged?
Will be calling them on Monday and want to make sure im informed first
