Firstly thank you to everyone who has offered advice on this website. I am at a dilemma on 2 issues and I want some opinions.
First one is to do with the kitchen - It's fairly small and no matter how I play with the layout I can't seem to be happy with it. The biggest issue is a window I have in the kitchen which means I can't put the oven and stovetop there (see photo below). So I am thinking about bricking it up and putting the oven there but would not having a window make it look strange? Also being that the house is 20 years old what I would I do on the outside so that it doesn't look like a ******* home handyman job?

Second issue is to do with my flooring. I absolutely hate my current carpet as it has burn marks, stains etc all over it due to the previous owner being messy and a smoker. I plan to replace the bedrooms with a plush mocha colour carpet but the loungeroom/kitchen/walkway will have laminate beech floorboards. The issue is that I still have to renovate the kitchen and pull down a wall but due to it being highly exxy how I want it at the moment it's probably going to be one of the last things I do. So would it be okay to get the floorboards done and get a couple of extra packs put aside so when I do renovate I have the extra floorbaords to fill in any spaces or should I just leave it until I do the kitchen?
