With the small size of the outdoor area you'll easily pick up a discount tile bargain. Oh, and how thick is that extra slab they are proposing? not specified there. Wot! They're not supplying flyscreens!: worth getting a few quotes from independent suppliers for later fitting. Do u really want to live with flyscreens on sliding doors? never worked for us and the dogs. Front door doesn't require a flyscreen but a security screen door. Guess they are supplying keyed-alike window locks in the tender? Enjoy the build. In regards to fly screens it's actually a good point that I didn't think about it, i will try to get a quote from third party company and compare. They did not specify the height of the outdoor slab but the sales lady said that is pretty much on level with the house except the Visual barrier. So not sure if it's worth doing with them or save those 3k and have it done with the driveway after handover. Any reason why I should do with the builder ? or it doesn't make any difference ? Re: Coral - Outdoor Living Slab 4Sep 03, 2018 7:31 am Definitely do the outdoor slab and porch at the same time. It means that the height of the slab will be about 7cm lower than the main slab and not a big drop. We also had the tiles done by Coral. Very happy with the overall effect. If you want to save money, just get the tiling done afterwards. We also had the Bella Barrier Screens put on the windows, which are like Crimsafe. They look fantastic. Did you install them with Coral. Do you remember the cost for those ? We were originally quoted $3200 to do the whole house in the Diamond Mesh Grill Screens. The Bella Screens are definitely expensive, I think we paid an additional $1800 on top of what we were already quoted just for 4 windows and 3 sliding doors. We left the bedroom windows as the Diamond Mesh ones as you can't see them behind the fences. Probably best to do the slab with the builder as they are talking about an integrated one. Always got to think about the termites! Covenants? 18 months down the track and they're all forgotten.
