Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 19, 2018 7:05 pm Hi Valandra , Hope you guys had a good weekend . The tiles are pretty good aren’t they lol, 🙏 It was definitely a phew moment . So wooden stacker doors were $7470. But due to the wind rating I had 2 options , keep the height of the doors but make them smaller or keep the length but have them lower . (Will attach a photo) I decided to keep the height and was refunded $750. If you choose to go with the wooden ones, I had an issue as they are pretty wide so the doors ended up sticking out a little . They gave me an option to leave it as is or they offered to knock the walls down and push them back in . I wasn’t too bothered so I just asked them to put a thicker framing outside around the doors to make it look like an arch. So if you end up going with the same door definitely something to keep an eye on as soon as possible so they can correct it . Windows - I added a window to office and meal area and changed the theatre window also (approx $1500). To bring more light in so those windows are not standard . Skirts and Arch upgrade is around $4800. A bit pricey but the photos don’t do them justice . They actually look amazing , the bigger the better lol. Have you received your plans yet ? Have you done colour selection appointment yet ? As for the time frame , I have no idea . I didn’t ask but will get on top of that soon. Gosh everything adds up doesn't it$$$? We got building contract and plans but a few things wrong on there, so needing to rectify and add etc esp size of feature window at backup and door sizes etc 😣 I'm also questioning size of our windows, I love big low windows in display houses and not sure if the 18 high are low or high enough now, so hard without seeing house , so I'll be pouring over your pics! Also discovered house next door is going to be a lowest so I can make master bedroom window longer , so many little details. We have tile appointment next week, so it's all beginning Re: Doors 3Aug 24, 2018 11:38 pm Hi, I ended up getting a few quotes today from Franklyn and realised that pretty much all of my windows are a non standard size so everything will need to be custom How exciting!!! Hopefully they get the plans sorted soon. Do you know what you are going to do with the tiles or are you just going to go with the flow when you get there? Re: Doors 4Aug 26, 2018 8:21 am Yikes! We're probably in the same boat, was it ridiculously high for the crimsafe? I'm going to duck in to Giles before Thursday and have a look so it's not a total surprise, time is really getting away from me lately. But excited to see all the choices. I have to make our back window longer at the bottom as I don't like how high the 18 windows are on the 9ft walls, so probably 20 long , which will have to be custom as our current ones don't come any bigger without a big line through them ...😭 . Hope they made lots of progress on your build this week! we have a standard size and often we have a lot of variety to choose 0 3577 We are looking for sliding doors which are 5 metres tall.
