hey guys im up to the stage of put up the exterior walls. I havent purchased my blue board yet but im planning to as soon as i find the right render or texture coat for it. I went into bunnings and asked them for a suitable render for blueboard. They first said that its not good to render over blueboard and ur best off just using hardie fibro or similar as blueboard is oily or oil based and the render doesnt stick to it well. which i think is cow manure as everyone renders with blueboard. Then they pointed me to the dulux which was $130 for 10 litres, thats without the base coat. Now ive come around a few different cheaper alternatives but dunno which one to go for. Theres some you need a base coat for and some u dont. I came across one called CMX on a google search which is approved by james hardie. Anyone heard of this?? Does it need a base coat and is it a good render to use? also does anyone know where to get it from in sydney??
Any info will be much appriecated
regards
Danny
