Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 26, 2018 4:29 pm Hi, I am after some advice regarding options with my neighbours property. We live in a new housing estate & have been in our house 4 years. Our neighbour started building about 6 months after us, a giant, sun-blocking double storey house which seemed to be going at a snails pace. The property has been completed to lock up stage and has sat dormant for 3 years as the owner broke the contract with Burbank and no further works have been undertaken. The property presents several issues, the major ones being that it is falling into a state of disrepair with the plaster board in the garage collapsing recently, the guttering is not complete so we get gushing water from 2 places along our fence line and there is also scaffolding hanging across my boundary. I have spoken with the owners about removing the scaffolding many months ago but they're never at the site and are yet to do anything. I have also contacted Burbank who will not come and collect it as they have no involvement with the site either. I have followed up with my local council 3 times, contacted the Victorian Building Authority and most recently Work Safe. I am getting no where. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? We would like to sell our house in the next couple of years and I am deeply concerned that should nothing be done to the house, we're going to struggle with a sale campaign. Thanks i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 11143 because its not being managed properly. Also "properly" is too broad and too subjective a term to be able to pinpoint a single event as not being managed properly.… 1 2729 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 15270 |
