Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 12, 2021 11:53 am Hi All, I bought land in Sydney for $450,000. The land agreement date is 25th November 2020. Construction started in the second week of Dec 2020. Total construction cost is $249,990. I received my OC only 3 days ago on 9th Aug 2021. I was very keen on applying for the HomeBuilder grant. I was given the impression by a Revenue Department customer service person on phone (in Dec 2020 or Jan 2021) that I would be able to apply for the HomeBuilder grant only after I have the Occupancy Certificate on my hand (if the construction had already started). I was shocked to know that they had a 14th April deadline and new applications are not being allowed. I am disappointed, dismayed, distraught and shocked. All my papers related to the property fall within the timeframe that the grant requires. I sent an email to the Revenue department but they declined on entertaining my application. What legal recourse can I take? Can I go to the tribunal? Ramuji 4 14461 Unless there is something in special conditions the builder does not have to give you timeline.
