Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 25, 2018 10:02 pm G'day everyone, I have recently installed ducted r/c in my late 70's house. The old gas ducted was costing a fortune. Now that the old gas system is redundant, have removed ductwork and registers from the upstairs timber floor. Downstairs however, the ductwork runs under a concrete slab. Any suggestions on the best way to fill these? Would pouring concrete be ok or might I have an issue with expansion? Cheers DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair But if it is a ground level open pit, then it is not a charged system. No surprises there. The pipes have obviously been altered and there would be a reason for this.… 3 31286 That was always going to be a challenge and a test of patience. Full marks to your mate.
