All internal walls are single brick. I had to cut out and and repair a water damaged area in the plasterboard ceiling and noticed large metal beams below the concrete. It's been suggested that when they built homes like this, the internal wall would have been built after the upper slab was done and therefore is not a supporting wall. Someone suggested I cut out a bit of the cornice and see if there is a gap at the top of the brick wall. Re: Brick internal wall 4May 11, 2018 4:37 pm Silly question but - you don't have the plans ?
