Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 27, 2018 11:24 am There is a concrete floor deck (with metal on bottom) between ground (garage) and first floor(lounge) in our house (solid brick, built circa 1972). I noticed a deflection of approx 20mm for beams 4.20 meter long. Floor area is approx 31.5 sqm (7.5*4.2). We bought the house recently and tight on finances. Is it something we need to attend urgently or it can wait? How much would it cost to fix a problem in Adelaide region? What methods local builders use? Can someone recommend a builder with a good structural engineer to do this kind of job? I came across AS3600 yesterday. The deflection of 20mm is above a limit and it is why I started this topic.
