Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 08, 2018 4:36 am We have been waiting 12 weeks for gas the gas line to be connected to our new house. Our builder has no idea when it will be connected. We have now had to extend our lease. It is very frustrating. Our house is basically finished. We did a knock down/rebuild so we had gas previously. Has anyone else had this issue. We are in Geelong if that helps. Thank you. Re: Gas Line 2Feb 13, 2018 11:32 am lolly72 We have been waiting 12 weeks for gas the gas line to be connected to our new house. Re: Gas Line 4Feb 13, 2018 1:14 pm Has your builder followed up to see if there are any issues? I hear it's very random how long they take. Ours took 3 weeks (in Geelong, late last year) but then instead of the meter going in a few days later, it took over 2 weeks. At that point we insisted our SS follow up and he found out the form that we had signed had been superseded and we needed to complete the new one. Assuming we weren't fed bs, I'm not sure when Origin were going to bother telling us about the form issue?! Re: Gas Line 6Feb 13, 2018 3:46 pm Not a dumb question. We had to have the gas abolished as we did a KDRB. My husband has rang the construction manager as the SS and the company are not responding to emails. He told my husband he would have an answer for him at close of business today. We really hope. Re: Gas Line 7Feb 13, 2018 3:51 pm bank Has your builder followed up to see if there are any issues? My husband has rang the construction manager today as our site supervisor doesn't return calls very frequently and the owner of company isn't responding to emails. Hopefully we get answers today. Our lease finished last week so now we have to to extend that to on a month by month basis. If the builder hadn't of given us two claims of extension of time they would be paying our rent now. It is very frustrating. Re: Gas Line 8Feb 16, 2018 6:07 pm Jemena are a joke, it took us 7 weeks before we got ours done. Call Jemena directly and give them your address, they’ll usually let you know if they have the order or still waiting on Origin/AGL etc to get paper work in order. Good luck guys. Apparently it is through SP Ausnet and there is no phone number to contact them, only email. They then hire out their own contractors such as Red Energy who our builder has chosen.
