My partner’s mum did some of her place herself (she’s 70!), but…to be honest, it’s very streaky and uneven. I would just never trust myself to do as good a job as a professional, and also they can knock it over quickly whereas we only have an hour or 2 after work each day, and the weekends, which we spend running around organising other things.
