Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 23, 2018 5:49 pm 1st time renovator, we were struggling to decide if hiring a project manager or hiring tradies on step basis. since we are not touching kitchen and bathrooms, so we decide to get a clear picture and advises on the sequence than hiring tradies on step basis. (saving money and more quality control?) Roof restoration, cleaning, repair and painting. bargeboard gutter fixing. 2. garage improvement. 3. window door frames changing door, lock bedroom cabinets, and storage room shelves (remove old ones than install new ones) 4. ceiling/wall/frame/doors/cabinets/shelves painting 5. laying timber floor (remove old ones than install new ones), skirting board laying tiles for kitchen and laundry 6. fence and outdoor, decking, landscaping etc. (can do after moving in) steps 2/3 seems needs same/similar bunch of people, carpenter/handyman? after step 5 may still need do some extra work of step 4 to have fine outcome? Can you please advise if the sequence is correct?
