please advise the sequence of home renovation
Page 1 of 1
since we are not touching kitchen and bathrooms, so we decide to get a clear picture and advises on the sequence than hiring tradies on step basis. (saving money and more quality control?)
After reviewing the articles below and based on 'From Top to Bottom' principle
https://www.domain.com.au/advice/want-t ... 20-gq9m9f/
https://www.homebuilding.co.uk/renovati ... p-planner/
The order I can think of so far is:
1.
Roof restoration, cleaning, repair and painting.
bargeboard gutter fixing.
2.
garage improvement.
3.
window door frames
changing door, lock
bedroom cabinets, and storage room shelves (remove old ones than install new ones)
4.
ceiling/wall/frame/doors/cabinets/shelves painting
5.
laying timber floor (remove old ones than install new ones), skirting board
laying tiles for kitchen and laundry
6.
fence and outdoor, decking, landscaping etc. (can do after moving in)
steps 2/3 seems needs same/similar bunch of people, carpenter/handyman?
after step 5 may still need do some extra work of step 4 to have fine outcome?
Can you please advise if the sequence is correct?
Any advise can be shared will be much appreciated!
2. save money
3. spend money on materials
4. pay a million fees and charges and levies and
5. renovate
6. eat two min noodles for next 10 years
7. question your choices
